Hannah & Jonathan’s Wedding – Kirkby Malzeard, North Yorkshire
- Monday, 23rd August 2010I travelled down to the picturesque village of Kirkby Malzeard, near Ripon in North Yorkshire, for Hannah and Jonathan’s wedding last weekend. The rain seemed relentless on my way to their house, but it stopped as soon as I arrived, and the sun came out! Quite a relief for a wedding with venues all within walking distance of each other!
Brides don’t come much more chilled out than Hannah. The bridal preparations at her house were calm and fun, and yet Hannah still managed to make soup, help bridesmaids with hair and makeup, and carry out a few final details for the day ahead.
The bridal party headed to the church on foot, and the ten minute walk through the village was completely charming. After the wonderfully moving ceremony, guests made their way to the reception in a meticulously decorated marquee in a nearby field, whilst Hannah, Jonathan and I headed to nearby gardens and woods for a few portraits.
Quirky games of wellie wanging, milk the cow and a coconut shy were enjoyed in the evening sun, the speeches were hilarious and tear jerking, and guests danced the night away at the disco and ceilidh. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of Hannah and Jonathan’s perfect day.

The beautiful flowers were by the brilliant Susie of Hart Company

Congratulations Hannah and Jonathan! I thoroughly enjoyed documenting your beautiful day.
