Last weekend I was second-shooting for wedding photographer Mandy Charlton; a fellow member of The [B] School. The wedding took place at the beautiful country house hotel, Horton Grange, in Northumberland. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and we were made to feel like guests by Holly and Craig and their lovely families.
Here are some of my favourite images from the day…
A bit of entertainment for the kids during the signing of the register…
…and a moment to pose too
There was lots of fun for the kids during the day. They were all so well behaved and great fun!
The newly married couple sit back and relax with friends…
How cute is this little girl?

16th January was Andrea and Ron’s special day in North Berwick. We loved every minute of it, and now that we have delivered the beautiful Jorgensen album, we can share the photographs here on the blog. Thanks Andrea and Ron for letting us document your wonderful day!
The beautiful flowers were from Simply Flowers by Clare.

We crossed the road to the John Muir gardens for the formals and the bride & groom portraits…
The best man’s speech went down well:
The hardest photographs to take on the day – the dance floor was completely dark with no disco lights; the Canon 5D MKII was struggling to focus but the high ISO really helped.

The Canon 5D MKII is wonderful in low light; I had many opportunities to put it to the test during the overcast January afternoon and evening. Photography using available light (or lack of) is a joy with this camera, which suits my style perfectly.

Last Friday we attended my cousin, Natalie’s, wedding down in Portsmouth. Although I had the pleasure of being a guest, I also took the opportunity to take some photos.
I’m very pleased with these shots. It certainly helped that the bride, groom and wedding party all looked fantastic. They also chose to hold the reception in a stunning converted barn in a gorgeous setting. And after days of terrible weather, the sun stayed out all day for them!
